To kick off 2019 trends, let’s talk spring skirt trends. To be exact, a leopard, snake, tiger, or zebra print skirt that’s made of silk, satin, or chiffon. This skirt trend really started becoming the “IT” skirt towards the end of 2018 and is becoming bigger than ever now. It’s the look of the moment that’s being worn all over Instagram and being sold at almost all retailers.
Spring Skirt Trend 2019
The first step to hopping on this trend is making sure you find the right skirt style for you. A lot of the skirt styles you’re going to find hit right above the knee or at your calf. For us, this style is particularly hard to rock because they end up stopping at that awkward place on our legs that’s just not attractive.
The secret to finding a skirt style that’s right for you isn’t so much of a secret. Really, all you need to do is keep trying on all the ones you love until you find one that stops at the correct place on your legs. You want it to look flattering and how you like. Now you could say we’re obsessed and just want to keep buying more animal print midi skirts!
Can we talk about the above picture for a second?
Two years ago when we first started blogging, I feel like this was my typical pose – just standing there and looking at the ground. Not sure why we were always looking at the ground, but hey, I feel like we have grown in our pictures and our poses.
Now back to our regularly scheduled programming – my sweater and skirt combo cost less than $50. H&M has been one of our favorite places to pick up amazing sweaters at the most reasonable prices. The snake print skirt is also an H&M find and actually was less than the sweater… total win!
As we have said time and time again, animal print is truly neutral. So when styling your animal print add some color, a graphic tee, sweatshirt, or even another print.
Another reason why this trend has us sold is that most of the animal print skirts aren’t going to break the bank. That’s important for us because we don’t wear skirts a TON, but like having them in our closet for when we do want to feel a bit more feminine.
