Can’t believe it’s already May! This year has been going by SO fast. But, you know what that means. With festival season already going on and summer right around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about what to wear to a concert.
You’re going to find out really quickly that when it comes to styling and picking out clothes, we always bring a casual spin to it. Our way of dressing up a look is by adding accessories like dainty jewelry, hats, belts, a statement bag, and a fun pair of shoes.
That’s exactly what we did when coming up with all the outfits you’re about to see. By adding accessories, it’s a great way to save money. Of course, we all want to buy new outfits and pieces for upcoming events, but if you’re on a budget, we promise, you can still look cool with the items you already own.
And we’ll show you just how to do that! So whether you need outfit ideas for what to wear to a concert or if you just need some outfit ideas in general, we know you’re going to love today’s topic.
Type of concert
Depending on if it’s rock, country, hip-hop, or pop you will probably want to dress according to the type of concert you are going to. Plus, keep in mind the weather and how much you will be walking. Put away those stilettos babe if it’s an outdoor festival and reach for a cute pair of booties, combat boots, or even some sneakers.
- ROCK – choose some jeans or denim shorts, pair it with a tee, leather jacket, some combat boots, or studded booties.
- COUNTRY – the western trend is going strong so jump on board with a pair of western style boots, a cute dress, or head to toe denim. Just make sure you keep the look polished, you definitely don’t want to look like you are wearing a costume.
- POP – bust out your trendiest items and have some fun with it.
- MUSIC FESTIVAL – wear a matching set, favorite jumpsuit, or romper for an easy and chic look. Or go for a boho vibe! Remember that you will be walking A LOT so wear flats.
- ALTERNATIVE – keep it simple and casual by wearing a pair of cutoffs and a graphic tee with sneakers or a cute mini dress with sneakers.
What To Wear To A Concert:
Noir Rancher | Chambray Midi Dress (medium wash, size xs) | Dolce Vita Sandals
Add a little edge
Adding a belt, hat, jacket, or boots gives that extra added edge to any look. I took a simple chambray sundress, added a western style studded belt, a western style hat, and animal print sandals. I’m instantly ready for a festival or summer concert.
Noir Rancher | Billabong Kimono (small) | Black T-Shirt | Agolde Parker Shorts (size 24) | Bello Boots (on sale)
Dress up your denim shorts
Just because you’re wearing denim shorts doesn’t mean you have to be wearing a really casual look. With some accessories and the right pair of shoes, you can dress them up.
Kimonos are the perfect addition for an easy boho look. Style tip: if you don’t have a kimono but have a long button up maxi- unbutton it and throw it over your favorite denim shorts.
Midnight Mack Hat (on sale) | Bing Tiger Tee (small) | Agolde Parker Shorts (size 24) | Gucci New Ace Sneakers
Go for a band tee
Don’t know what to wear? Then throw on a graphic tee. Honestly, that should be our motto because we live in graphic tees.
Midnight Mack Hat (on sale) | Polka Dot Maxi Dress (small) | Western Buckle Belt | Bello Boots (on sale)
Wear a Maxi Dress
Maxi dresses are perfect for that festival look because they flow freely. They can be worn with booties, sandals, or even wedges if you need some height without the pain.
Noir Rancher | Ruffled Crop Tank (small) | High Rise Mom Jeans (size 25) | Dolce Vita Sandals | Mustard Yellow Purse
Dress up a plain tee
Do you ever get something and don’t know how you lived without it? That’s how I feel about this ruffled crop tank. It’s such a simple top that is going to be worn all the time because of how versatile it is.
