To be honest, we aren’t so sure how we feel about many of the 2019 fashion trends. There are a lot of trends we can’t wait to start rocking, but there are also quite a bit that we won’t be participating in. So with that being said, let’s talk about all the trends for 2019 and which ones we can’t wait to start wearing.
2019 Fashion Trends
There are already quite a few pieces we’ve picked up that are going to be big for 2019. Trends are fun because almost all stores keep with new trends which means you can find them at affordable prices.
And don’t forget to just have fun and experiment with new styles. If there is a trend you are loving, try it and then you’ll be able to see if you feel comfortable wearing it or not. There are some trends that we really wanted to like, but ended up not being able to pull it off as well as wanted. But, if we hadn’t tried then we would have never known!
Tie-Dye
Tie-dye is the print for 2019 that’s quickly taking over. It’s a fun take on a print that can easily be worn with denim or a pair of leggings.
Plaid Blazer
Crystal Belts
We are loving the look of crystal belts (diamante belts), especially this one from Free People. Imagine a plain tee tucked into high waisted jeans and a crystal belt.
Resin Jewelry and Charm Jewelry
Animal Print
You probably already know we are animal print OBSESSED: leopard, snake, tiger, and zebra. If not, check out our post talking all about the spring skirt trend for 2019.
Neon
We definitely aren’t going to go crazy on the neon and we probably will only have a couple pieces in our closet. But a neon sweatshirt and t-shirt with some denim sounds like the perfect on-trend outfit.
Matching Suits
Especially matching blazer and shorts.
Belt Bags
At the beginning of the belt bag trend, we weren’t so sure how we thought about it. We ended up giving it a try and loving it! We actually ended up doing a whole blog post on how to rock a fanny pack.
Hair Barrettes
Hair accessories, especially barrettes are exploding the fashion scene. They are great for when you don’t know what to do with your hair or if you only have a couple of minutes to throw something together.
Pearls and Shells
Earrings, rings, hair clips, and can sometimes be seen on clothing.
Cowl-Neck Sweaters and Dresses
Neutrals on Neutrals
You’ll be seeing a lot of layered neutrals from head to toe. This is one trend we really can’t wait to start wearing!
Satin
Satin is a really versatile material because it can be taken from day to night. We are also loving satin slip dresses and we just wrote a blog post on how to wear a slip dress 4 ways.
Mixed Prints
We are pumped for this one because mixing prints is one of our favorites! Zara is already rocking the mixed prints trend.
Top Handle Bags
A structured bag with the handle on the top.
Floss/Tiny Strap Sandals
Sounds weird right? Well here is what they look like – kind of loving them.
Puff Sleeves
I love the dramatic effect a puff sleeve has on a simple outfit. A little something extra!
Utility and Cargo Pants
This trend is still going strong from 2018 spring trends. Think a lot of pockets and loose fitting.
Structured Bags
Zara and Mango are the queens of structured bags.
Kitten heel, glossy boots, sparkle/glitter shoes, printed loafers, metallic boots, and gold shoes
Moc Croc
Croc embossed accessories from handbags to shoes.
Mismatched bold stones and colors
2019 Trends we won’t be rocking:
Bike Shorts – We tried styling bike shorts, but ended up not being a fan of how they looked on us.
Sport Sandals – Also called the “ugly” shoe that is already being seen all over the place.
Shield Sunglasses
Headbands – Headbands are really big for this year, especially padded ones.
Platform Shoes
Bootcut Jeans
Feathers – Feather accented anything.
All things ’80s – It’s true, the ’80s are coming back! Don’t know how we feel about this one.
Dad sneakers
Bucket Hats
Anti Skinny Jeans – Baggy jeans are really in.
Oh, no, the ugly shoe is definitely not going to be part of my shoedrobe!
P.S: I love everything you’ve picked, especially the puff sleeves, animal print skirts and boots!

Love this trend roundup! And I love how you explained how you’re planning to wear them. I agree on the bike shorts trend. Kylie Jenner may be able to pull it off, but I certainly can not. I don’t think I’ll take part in the neon trend because I remember being all about it when it was last trendy and honestly those pieces just went to die in my closet!
