It’s finally starting to get cooler again, which means we obviously have to talk about our favorite season, Fall! We love when the temps drop and you can start to wear your jeans and begin to layer your favorite sweater or jacket with your favorite tee. On today’s post we are sharing 5 Fall pieces that would be a great addition to your closet!

2. Bell sleeves are in this fall and we couldn’t be happier. We love a statement sleeve! I don’t know what it is about a bell sleeve that makes us want to keep buying more and more. With a bell sleeve, it takes a basic striped tee and elevates it to the next level! We are loving this one from Splendid. Or this super cute one from Free People, which combines ruffles and bell sleeves.. plus it comes in 3 colors! A win-win.
3. When we think of velvet, our mind goes to a Christmas dress from when we were little, haha!! We’ve grown up, fashion continues to evolve, and so does our taste. BUT, we’re still over here loving velvet.
This season there is so many great options in velvet! You can wear a great velvet jacket and pair it with your favorite tee, jeans, and booties. Or, go for a more subtle look of a cami like this or this one.. which is more budget friendly with jeans and a leather jacket. If you don’t think you can wear velvet, but still want to incorporate it in your wardrobe get a cute pair of mules like these, or a fun pair of slip on sneakers like these. You can even jump on board by grabbing a cute handbag or backpack!
4. A cardigan is a true staple! They are warm and cozy and no longer something your grandma wears! During the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, we bought several. Since we are always cold during the summer, we tend to take a cute cardigan and pair them with our favorite denim shorts. And then of course keep wearing throughout the fall with our dresses and jeans. An excuse to buy more, right?
We also like to pair them with our favorite leggings and tennis shoes for a laid back athleisure look. We have been seeing this cardi all over Instagram and we wanted it so badly, but it has wool in it and we sadly can’t wear wool 🙁 We bought this cardi over the summer and it has been great! It’s the perfect weight and we love the slits up the side. We are also loving the bow on the sleeve in this adorable sweater.
5. Lastly, a leather or suede jacket is truly a perfect jacket to have in your closet for Fall. Wearing a leather or suede jacket can give that outfit you are wearing a chic or edgy look. You can spend a lot of money or find a faux leather jacket that looks as real as the expensive ones.
On our past two trips to Marshall’s we have seen Blank NYC leather jackets for under $79.99. In fact, one of them was the exact one they had at this years anniversary sale. Talking about suede jackets, we are definitely regretting not buying this gorgeous one at this years Nordstrom’s sale.
