Hi girls and happy Friday! Today I’m sharing how to style a suede jacket. I picked up this Topshop suede jacket (similar one here) a few months ago when it was on major sale, it was just too good to pass up! A suede jacket is not only a must-have staple in everyone’s closet, but it’s also one of those pieces that really can be paired with just about anything.
Most of the outfits I’m going to be sharing today are super casual because let’s face it, that’s how I roll! But I’m also going to be sharing some other ways you can wear a suede jacket and dress it up a little.
Ways to wear a suede jacket
- Wear with a lace camisole
- Put on with a plain tee
- Throw on with a chunky knit sweater
- Pair with your athleisure wear
A great way to dress up your suede jacket is pairing with a cami. There are so many different ways you could make this look work, whether you’re a working babe or just wanting to be more casual. What we really love about camisoles is that they really elevate your look to the next level without feeling like you’re over or underdressed!
What to wear with a cami and suede jacket:
- Endless options: pair with jeans, joggers, or skirt
- Work/ everyday outfit: v-neck camisole top tucked into trousers with an olive color Blank Denim suede jacket
- Pop of lace and color: layer a lace trim camisole under a v-neck sweater with a pink suede jacket
I’m kind of embarrassed by the number of times I say I have nothing to wear!! I know, I know a fashion blogger who doesn’t have anything to wear… I bet you’re rolling your eyes at me right now. But figuring out what to wear can be difficult sometimes and when that happens I usually end up throwing on a plain tee with my Levi’s and suede jacket.
What to wear with a tee and suede jacket:
- Beyond basic: black crewneck tee, tan suede jacket, and some ankle boots (Nordstrom always has a great selection of boots with all different price ranges)
- The leopard look: red suede biker jacket, white thermal tee, and leopard heels
- Edgy vibes: black tee and jeans, faux fur-collar biker jacket, and some studded ankle booties
This has got to be one of my favorite ways to style a suede jacket. I am such a sucker for sweaters and layering.. two of the many reasons why I love fall! This outfit is so cozy, so warm, and I can’t forget to mention so chic.
I love this suede jacket even more because I am able to layer chunky knit sweaters and still have room to move my arms haha!
What to wear with a sweater and suede jacket:
- The neutral look: tan suede moto jacket, camel color chunky turtleneck sweater, and relaxed striped chino pants in pink
- Let’s be comfy: chenille sweater, grey busted skinny jeans, and black suede jacket
- Tucking in your sweater: black chunky sweater tucked into black ripped jeans and a purple suede jacket (the purple color is SO pretty)
- Fall’s perfect outfit: a fun patterned sweater (color blocked, leopard) and tan suede jacket
I think most people would agree that leggings are pretty amazing. What’s better than being able to wear leggings, a sweatshirt, a suede jacket and be able to call it athleisure wear?! You get to be comfortable while looking fashionable in public!
What to wear with athleisure wear and suede jacket:
- Matching set: this rainbow hooded lounge set is ahhmazing, black suede jacket, and some Adidas sneakers
- Thermal & leggings: thermal v-neck top (love the green color), woven jogger pants, and any color suede jacket.. okay this might just be my favorite outfit!
- Joggers look: an oversized tank front tucked into joggers, suede jacket, and this classic checkered slip-on (comes in 5 colors)
- Bad hair day: Add a baseball cap or pompom beanie

Other options to wear with a suede jacket:
- Button up look: button-up top, black ripped jeans, and black suede jacket
- Graphic tee: any graphic tee with a neutral color suede moto jacket (black, tan, grey)
- Corduroy Jumper: cord jumper with a striped turtleneck and over the knee boots
- Tie neck outfit: tie neck shirt, ripped mom jeans, and brown suede moto jacket
- Plaid shirt: Rails plaid shirt (the softest shirt ever), step hem skinny jeans, and any color suede jacket
The last thing I want to say is to accessorize!! I’m not kidding when I say it truly brings any outfit to the next level. Throw on your favorite hat, layer those necklaces, put on that statement belt, and pull out your cozy scarf. They won’t disappoint!
