With Mother’s Day next weekend, it’s time to start thinking about how you’re going to spoil your mom. They deserve to be celebrated all year long, but even more so on this special day. That’s why we’ve put together the best ideas + tips on just what to do to spoil her.
I don’t know about you, but there’s just something about gift giving that I love. It feels good to treat others and to let them know that they are loved and thought of.
If you think about it, it’s amazing how much mother’s do for us. They are always showing up for their family, love their kids, run all the errands, put dinner on the table, keep up with the chores, put others before themselves, and the list goes on.

How To Spoil Your Mom
It can be hard to know what to get to your mom. You want to get her something meaningful, something that they’re really going to appreciate. But, just like we mentioned in our Mother’s Day gifts from Daughter post, you don’t have to go all out to spoil your mom. Sometimes the most simple gifts are the ones that will be cherished the most.
From a mom’s day out to a mini staycation to picking out the perfect gift, we know your mom will love these ideas.
Make A Card:
Such a simple gift to give, but one that can easily mean the most. I (Lydia) always make my mom cards and personalize them to really resonate with who she is.
I make sure to take the time to write out a meaningful message inside the card. My mom is selfless, always does so much for me, loves me unconditionally, and allows me to follow my dreams. What do you love most about your mom? What does your mom always do for you that means a lot? Take those answers of yours and write them down in a card for her.
Mini Staycation:
If you live in the same state as your mom, go on a mini staycation. Mom’s love spending times with their kids, so taking the weekend to stay at a local hotel is the perfect treat. You can shopping, go to the spa, watch a movie, order in room service, anything that you two love doing together.
Mom’s Day Out:
Maybe you don’t have the time to take a mini staycation, but you still want to spend one on one time together. Plan a mom’s day out filled with shopping, going out to lunch, getting a facial, going to the zoo, etc.
Pick Out A Special Piece Of Jewelry For Her:
Another one of my favorite gifts to give my mom, a piece of jewelry. A few years ago I got this “xo” mother-daughter necklace that both of us can wear and always have that reminder of each other. Personalized jewelery makes for such a special and meaningful gift.
Treat Her To A Vacation:
This is definitely not cheap, but I love the idea of treating your mom/parents to a vacation. My dream has always been to treat my parents to a vacation, Hawaii, please!
Bake Her Something:
Does your mom have a favorite treat/dessert? Figure out what it is, go on Pinterest, find a recipe, and bake her something!
Complete Something Off Her Bucket List:
Thinking about it, I don’t even have a bucket list! But anyways, how fun would it be to help complete something off your mom’s bucket list? This is something that will always be remembered.
Help Your Mom Out:
I know that my mom has a set schedule each week of when she does the laundry, cleans the kitchen, runs errands, vacuums, etc. They’re chores that need to get done, but not really enjoyable. So help your mom out, let her take a break, and do those chores that she is always doing.
If you don’t have the time or you really don’t want to do those chores, treat her to a cleaning lady, a lawn mowing service, take the clothes to a dry cleaner, etc.
What are you going to do this Mother’s Day to spoil your mom? And I just wanted to say, THANK YOU to all the mom’s out there for all that you do. I hope you know just how amazing and appreciated you are. Happy Mother’s Day!
