Hey Monday! Who knew it would be a struggle to try and get pictures for the blog. We went several times last week and had to keep coming back, but in the end, we somehow managed to get some. Not to mention, it’s FREEZING out and kind of miserable standing outside to get pictures! Who knows how we’re going to do this in the winter time.
Enough weather, and let’s talk off the shoulder sweaters! There is just something that is so feminine about bearing your shoulders in an off the shoulder top. We’ve put away our sleeveless tops and have traded them in for long sleeves and chunky knits! Today we wanted to show you how we are wearing our favorite trend right now in the chillier weather.
Styling Tips: Off The Shoulder Sweaters
Bare Your Shoulders:
Keep it simple and pair your favorite chunky knit off the shoulder sweater with your go-to jeans. Style it with heeled booties or over the knee boots, throw on a hat, and you are instantly ready for a girls night out / date night.
Chunky Knits:
Try a cream colored off the shoulder sweater with white jeans and a pair of mules (brown leather would be a great color option). Maybe even add a fisherman cap or a crossbody bag… you have automatically created a chic and stylish look!
Layer with your favorite Jacket:
To balance the feminine touch of your off the shoulder top, layer your leather or suede jacket over it. For the shoes, just throw on some sneakers, booties, or heels!
Leather and Suede Jackets:
For an edgier look… we love the idea of a black off the shoulder sweater, high waisted black jeans, a black suede moto jacket, and black over the knee heeled boots.
Wear a Scarf:
As it gets chillier you may think you need to stay away from an OTS top, but scarves are one of the quickest ways to transform any look. A scarf is also a great way to cover up your neckline while still exposing your shoulders. While you are at it, throw on your favorite faux fur pompom beanie or beret and you are ready to run your errands or meet friends for coffee!
Outfit Idea:

Spending a night in with your guy or going away for a girls weekend? Why not step up your loungewear game with a cute off the shoulder twin set. Just like I am, you can even wear it out and about with a pair of sneakers.

Sweater dresses are really in right now! Why not wear a cute OTS sweater dress and incorporate any of the above styling tips.

If you’re a fan of tops and dresses, then an off the shoulder sweater dress is for you. Just grab some studded ankle boots and a hat from your closet and you’re ready to go!!
Cold Shoulder:
Not sure you want to pull off the OTS trend in the freezing cold temps, then try a cold shoulder top and let a little bit of your shoulder be exposed.
Cold Shoulder Outfit Idea:
Like the shoulder top trend (say that 3 times quickly)? Then try your cold shoulder sweater (love the snap sleeve detail) with a classic pair of ripped denim and a pointed loafer mule.
