Who doesn’t love talking about new spring trends for 2018?! There are SO many trends we are just adoring and can’t wait to actually wear/style when the weather gets nice.
When it comes to fashion week there are a lot of trends that the everyday girl can’t or won’t recreate. I mean let’s be real! But today we are going to talk about 2018 top trends that we are loving for spring that anyone can wear.
But before you start reading, we would love for you to check this out! Our friend Kait, kaitlinmackenziee, has a newsletter sharing all the things she is loving: podcasts, music, fashion, food, etc. At the end she has a guest blogger come on and share a little bit about themselves/what they do/some advice. New Spring Trends 2018
Cargo/Utility
The cargo look is big this spring season. Think of it as a modern take on utility clothing. You will find it in shorts, pants, tops, and bags. And if you are a camo lover like we are, then you are in luck because that trend fits perfectly into this category.
When it comes to styling the utility look the options are endless. Think of your olive or camo items as a neutral.. they really go with anything! We love to mix it up and pair a feminine item with our look.. see how we did that HERE.
Pastels
When it comes to pastels we immediately think of Easter. Specifically Easter m&m’s (you how we love our candy). All the romantic dusty shades of pink, blue, green, yellow, and lilac give us major heart eyes! If you only choose one pastel color this season, go for lilac. Lilac was seen all over the runways and is Pantone’s color of the year.
Classic Checks and Plaid
We have happily jumped on board with classic checks and plaid this season. Actually, we have been for a while now. You can check out our posts HERE and HERE to see how we styled some of our favorite plaid and check pants.
Gingham was big last summer and it’s back again. So many great options when it comes to this 2018 fashion trend from dresses, twin sets, rompers, and jumpers. Also, try styling your plaid and checkered items with a graphic tee to add a little edge or keep it simple with a basic tee.
Deep Indigos and Navy
You can’t go wrong with choosing a navy blue or deep indigo color, this includes your denim too. Especially dresses, overalls, and jumpsuits! Even dark navy blue sneakers are big for spring 2018.
When wearing navy have fun with it and add a pop of color or go for that all denim look. Maybe channel your inner Parisian and wear navy, black, and a beret for that perfect accesory.
Retro Inspired Yellow
Think of mellow yellow when it comes to retro-inspired yellow. We truly have really been getting into the retro look. We love adding a little 60’s or 70’s vibe to our looks.
This yellow pairs great with all of the trends that we have mentioned above and it’s the perfect spring color.

This post has me SO excited for springtime to arrive! It can’t come fast enough, in my opinion (though I know the warmer weather will bring all the bugs – and that I could definitely do without haha)!
