The Parking Spot + Our Travel Bucket List

Wednesday, halfway through the week! Sometimes (like today) we just don’t know how to open up the blog. So hey, what’s up, hi! Coming back from Chicago, we didn’t really plan out upcoming blog posts and honestly, not having any clue has been nice. When we go on trips/vacation we want to enjoy it and being on social media, it can be hard to do just that! One thing we have really been working on is just taking it one day at a time and allowing ourselves to ENJOY LIFE!

It’s okay if you can’t put up a blog post, it’s okay if you take a break from social media, it’s okay to have fun on your trip and to leave all those worries/priorities you may have off to the side for a few days. By doing that, it’s amazing how refreshed and motivated you can feel. Just remember to breathe and to treat yourself because it’s good for the soul and something everyone needs every once in a while.

One thing that makes us feel better about going on trips is where we park our car when taking it to the airport. Okay, that may sound silly but we like knowing that our car will be safe and be there when we get back! SO, that’s just why we love The Parking Spot.

We always park valet at The Parking Spot 3 in St. Louis.

Because we can hop on and off the shuttle and get to the airport quicker. We love when people are friendly (let’s be honest who doesn’t) but every single valet person is super friendly and always helping us with our bags when leaving and returning. The best part is valet prepares your car for you upon your return home, which makes the checkout process so much quicker.

Here is the STL location page with all the information on St. Louis Airport Parking + they’re having a special coupon offer: 40% off parking!

And before we get onto our own travel bucket list, just a few more things about The Parking Spot you may want to know about:

  • There are different Parking Spots locations (the parking spot 1, the parking spot 2, the parking spot east, etc) at each airport, so be sure to check out the FAQ to figure out the difference between your locations! We promise it’s not confusing.
  • Check out the Spot Club: a frequent parker program that helps you save while traveling
  • To simplify your travel get The Parking Spot app
  • You can easily reserve your parking spot
  • They offer car care options: wash your car for you within 24 hours of your return home
  • Check out all the parking spot coupons, so many great deals!

Travel Bucket List

Being summertime, it’s the perfect time to put together a travel bucket list. The list could go on and on because there is so much to see/experience in the world. Here are 10 places we have on our travel bucket list:

What’s one place on your travel bucket list that you are just dying to go to?

1. Hawaii:

We honestly don’t even know which island we would want to visit, but ever since we can remember Hawaii is a place, we have wanted to go.

2. Greece:

Most definitely on the top of our bucket list, just one of those places that I feel like we would be in awe.

3. Overwater Bungalow in Bora Bora:

Talk about a unique experience from the minute you get into your bungalow to the minute you leave. Just laying out on a hammock while reading your book sounds amazing to us.

4. The Hamptons:

If everyone from Gossip Girl goes to The Hamptons, obviously we need to go too, haha! But it would for sure be a fun summer destination.

5. Italy:
  • Coastal towns we would love to visit – Positano, Capri, Almafi Coast
  • Venice – riding in a gondola
  • Tuscany – exploring the old world towns
6. Go on an African Safari:

We have always loved the zoo! I (Katie) loved going there as a kid and always took Lydia and her brothers there when they were growing up. A dream of mine is to see lions, elephants, and other animals in their natural habitat.

  • Stay at Sabi Sabi in South Africa – National Geographics unique lodges of the world. Sabi Sabi is a luxury game resort made to look like you are living in the bush (but at a luxury style of course).
7. New York at Christmas time:

New York is such a magical city no matter when you go but we really want to experience during Christmas time.

  • The Christmas tree and the lights on Rockefeller Plaza
  • See The Rockettes Holiday Show
  • Check out the window displays
8. Visit Northern California: Lake Tahoe

We have been to southern CA many times but never ventured beyond there. But CA is a BIG state and traveling up north is on our list as well. Lake Tahoe which borders between California and Nevada looks beautiful in pictures so it’s on our list to visit!! Now the big decision is if we visit during the summer or winter? If you have that answer, let us know.

9. Paris:

Oh, Paris. City of light that seems so magical.

  • Stay in a luxury Parisian hotel
  • Go shopping and get something that we’ll have forever
  • Take a French pastry class
  • Visit Monet’s garden and house
  • Spend an afternoon at some of the best cafe’s
10. Catalina Island:

Catalina is a channel island located just southwest of LA. Just a short boat or ferry ride and you are there.

  • No cars are allowed on the island so once you are there your mode of transportation is golf carts –  and that sounds like so much fun to us.
  • If you know anything about us we love to eat and pretty much plan our next meal as we are eating a current meal, so the Catalina Food and Walking Tour sound like a must for us.
