How To Style A Faux Fur Jacket

Want to feel like you are ready to rule the world? Then get yourself a faux fur jacket. Whenever I wear mine I feel like ready to kick some butt and take names… enough said!

As the temps get cooler a faux fur jacket is the perfect outerwear piece to reach for. It not only will keep you warm but you will look effortlessly chic. In my opinion, one of the best things about a faux fur jacket is there are so many options, you are bound to find one that speaks to you. Due to the material of the faux fur, it looks and feels expensive without breaking the bank like a real fur coat would cost.

Another reason why I am crazy about faux fur jackets is it can be dressed down with skinny jeans and sneakers or dressed up for a wedding and/or night out. Now if that isn’t versatile, I don’t know what is.

How To Style A Faux Fur Jacket

For a modern look go for a colored fur coat such as pink

Rainbow colored furs make the perfect statement over a monochromatic look

For a full-on glamour look, choose a classic shade such as black or tan, styled with all black underneath

Want a casual street style look? Then pair it with jeans and a graphic tee

For a workday look, pair it over a dress or with some trousers

Don’t just save it for that special occasion – wear it to run your errands, to work, or even to take out the trash – well maybe not then, but I think you get the point.

Our Faux Fur Jacket Outfits

With sharing our style/outfits every day whether that’s on Instagram or the blog, it’s important for us to be aware of how much we’re buying and spending. Both of my faux fur jackets are from Forever 21, which you KNOW we have been obsessed with for months now.

The best part is all of the pieces with my fur coats are items I have had sitting in my closet, besides the stripe bodycon dress. FYI, I sized up to a large so it wouldn’t be SO form fitting! It’s so easy to go shopping for new looks, rather than trying to dig out a look from your closet. We are totally guilty of doing that, but we challenge you to create some looks from what you have in your closet. We find that we end up LOVING the outfits we recreate!
