It’s Monday & we’re back from our trip to Arizona! It was such a fun trip, but we are definitely happy to be back home. We hope you all had a GREAT weekend.

We have been on the hunt for healthy and yummy snacks when we just need a little something AND we have found some really good ones, that of course, we want to share with you all. But before we get into it, if you missed our Trader Joes Haul, check that out HERE.

Bai Antioxidant Cocofusion:

Refreshing for any time of day & perfect if you’re craving something sweet. Easy to bring on the go with you: running errands, working out, or going shopping.

Apples and Almond Butter:

The perfect combination of carbs, protein, and healthy fats. Great in the morning or afternoon if you need a little boost of energy.

  • Buy pre-sliced apples if you are wanting to make this snack even quicker

Enlightened Roasted Broad Bean Crisps:

They’re high in fiber and protein, which we love. The bean crisps come in a ton of flavors: cocoa dusted, sweet cinnamon, wasabi, sea salt, etc.

  • Easy to bring on the go because of the closure
  • Packed with 4x the protein, 5x the fiber, and 1/3 the fat of potato chips

String Cheese:

A great on the go snack to get some protein.

  • You can find string cheese at any grocery store

Peanut Butter Filled Pretzels:

Perfect for when you are wanting a salty snack that’s going to be a little more filling & of course if you love PB and pretzels! They aren’t the healthiest snack you’re going to have, but they are very satisfying.

  • Take a handful or put the serving size amount into a bowl for portion control

Air Popped Popcorn:

An easy and quick snack that is healthy and filling, check out the air popper we use HERE.

  • Eating air-popped popcorn can help with weight loss because it’s high in fiber and low in calories
  • Make some and put in Ziploc bags to bring on the go
  • Always buy organic popcorn kernels because they digest properly in your system

Rebel protein drinks

Rebbl Protein Drinks:

We always have a Rebbl Protein Drink after working out if we are going to be running errands & eating lunch later than we usually would.

  • SO many options… elixir & protein drinks
  • Our two favorites: the cold-brew protein with 12g of protein & dark chocolate protein with 16g of protein

Skinny Pop Popcorn Puffs Sweet Cinnamon:

If you love Auntie Anne’s cinnamon pretzels, you’ll love these. Once again, not the healthiest snack you’re ever going to have, but if you’re wanting something sweet these will definitely satisfy that craving.

Hard Boiled Eggs:

A great source of protein that can help refuel your body and help control hunger. We have been loving hard boiled eggs in our salads, tuna, or even as a snack with some guacamole.

Wholeme Clusters:

These clusters are the perfect snacking size and filled with healthy fats, natural sweeteners, and such simple ingredients.

Simple Mills Sprouted Seed Crackers:

We just picked these up and love them, they’re made with super simple ingredients.

Our FAVORITE granola, ever. The perfect crunchy, salty-sweet taste for snacking.

  • Eat by the handful, on your yogurt, cereal, or oatmeal.
  • Purely Elizabeth also has oatmeal and bars

Healthy Snack Tips

Even with healthy eating/ healthy snacks, you should always be aware of how much you are consuming. It’s SO easy to just eat a whole bag of something and snack when working, checking your phone, watching TV, etc.

  • Use bowls or ziplock bags for portion control
  • Snack meal prep with the right serving size already there for you
  • Use measuring cups: 1/4 cup or 1/2 cup
  • Find heart-healthy snacks that are easy to take on the go
  • Look for snacks that are fat-free
  • 100 calories snacks for a little something to hold you over
  • Wait about 15 minutes to make sure you are really hungry or if you are just craving something

Other Favorite Healthy Snacks

Here are more than a few other favorite healthy snacks of ours that take little to no time to prepare and for the most part are super filling:

  • Almond butter with apples
  • Cottage cheese and mandarin oranges
  • Greek yogurt with some fruit & granola
  • Using egg whites for an omelet
  • Dark chocolate
  • Black bean hummus with 3 seed sweet potato crackers

    I don’t remember the last time I found a snack idea post that contained MOSTLY items that I’m NOT allergic to! This made me so happy haha. I just got so inspired by all of these snacks! I gotta get them all because seriously – someone who is allergic to soy, oats, apple, green beans, avocados, black pepper, turkey, pineapple, etc. has such a hard time finding healthy options (*laughs to cover the tears* haha). Thank you so much for sharing!

    I guess skinny pop popcorn is OK if you don’t decide to just eat all the bags (like I would, lol). I love drinking kombucha as my water alternative. Think I’ll try out those seed crackers.

    Those bai drinks are my favorite! I also love the coconut ones and also the watermelon. I’ll have to also try that air popped popcorn! Thanks for the tip on buying organic 🙂
