Happy FRIYAY! It’s finally the weekend & time for a new blog post. We love us some boots / booties and what’s better than talking designer vs affordable? It honestly can be hard sometimes to decide if you should splurge or save on an item!

I am a true shoe lover! As an adult I have always been drawn to pretty shoes. A great pair of shoes can TRULY change the look of any outfit and elevate it to the next level. I remember getting my first pair of “expensive” shoes 10 years ago. At the time they cost around $150 & yes that is still a pricey pair of shoes, but when I got them I thought oh my they are a work of art! They were / are still so pretty.. I joked that I should put them on the shelf and shine a spotlight on them, haha.
Stuart Weitzman shoes to me are in the same category as my first pair of expensive shoes. I look at his shoes as a piece of artwork.. I love them! NOW, let me also state that I think they are ridiculously expensive! So when I saw these boots at Nordstrom Rack for over half off, I jumped with joy! I could finally get my first pair.
If you follow us on Instagram you’ll remember that I bought the boot in two colors because I wasn’t sure which color I would like in person. Well that was a big mistake! As you can guess, I loved them both & kept both. I don’t regret that decision at all!
These boots are a classic boot that I will truly wear for years! The pointed toe and lower chunked heel helps this vertically challenged girl 😉 It creates a longer visual line when styled. They are also SO comfortable! Like wear them on a marathon day of shopping and my feet would be okay comfortable.

As I stated earlier, I got my boots at a major discount. So if you are drooling over a pair of designer shoes, stalk higher end discount retailers:

- Lastcall (Neiman Marcus outlet)
- Saks Off 5th (Saks outlet)
Last thing, a great time to get a pair of Stuart Weitzman boots is during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Each year you can find the latest season boot for a fraction of the cost!
H&M
My go-to has always been sneakers & still is, but that’s not to say that I’m officially boot / bootie obsessed! I love how they give me that little bit of extra height that I wish I had! I definitely have an eye for all the designer boots that are on the more expensive side, but since I truly don’t wear boots that often I try and find affordable pairs.
What is there not to love about these ankle boots? I am a sucker for this color when it comes to shoes & I LOVE the scalloped detailing.. adds the perfect touch!
Urban Outfitters
My favorite boots right now! The ring detail gives me major heart eyes & you can switch out the rings if you want a different color. I got them on sale & have been eyeing the white version of these boots. Since we’re loving the retro trend, I think these fit perfectly into that.. the white pair especially!
Designer vs Affordable Boots
So, do we think buying an expensive pair of designer boots is worth it? YES and NO. YES, if you buy a pair that is going to stand the test of time! My Stuart Weitzman boots are a classic style and color that I’ll be able to wear for years. NO, we wouldn’t spend the money if it’s a shoe that may only be in style for a season or two. That is when you look for a less expensive shoe brand, that does an amazing job at recreating a designers shoe!
