The fact that July is already over and we’re in the month of August just blows our mind. Is it just or has this year gone by so fast? That does mean one thing though, FALL! Call us crazy, but we are so ready for that crisp air, sweater weather, and all the things that come with the season.

We might be a little behind on getting out our current favorites for July, but no need to worry because we’ve got some pretty good finds that we can’t wait to share with you.

Current Favorites: July 2019

Only six words to describe our latest obsession – oversized graphic tees and bike shorts. To be honest, we weren’t sure how we felt about the bike short trend, but after multiple tries, we finally jumped on board and are so glad we did. On top of that, we’ve been making the yummiest healthy chocolate chip cookies. Just keep on reading to find out all the details…

Bike Shorts:

You heard it right, we can’t get enough of bike shorts. They are comfortable and easy to throw on, but there is a secret to finding the right pair. We’ve found that for them to be flattering, they need to be a spandex material. That way they can hug you in all the right places and create a more slimming look.

We are loving Zella, Alo Yoga, and LNA (these are cotton + spandex material, but still flattering on).

Oversized Graphic Tees:

To pair with our bike shorts, we have been wearing oversized graphic tees. Our favorite places to get them are Daydreamer, Free People, and Urban Outfitters. We look for tees that say “oversized” in the description or just size up one or two sizes.

Reading:

I (Lydia) have started to get back into reading. I have always loved reading (thanks to my mom), but never take the time to do it. It’s the perfect way to wind down for the night and really helps me relax. We both love romance books!

Essential Oils:

We have been using essential oils for years now. Not only do we love creating great-smelling blends (our new favorite is rootbeer float), but we also love all the benefits oils have in your life. We are able to sleep better, get rid of minor headaches, and so much more.

Recently, Lydia and I began selling Young Living Essential Oils. Young Living doesn’t just sell oils, they have everything from household cleaning products, supplements, and even CBD. Chocolate Chip Tahini Cookies:

We’ve always wanted to try baking with tahini (sesame seed paste) but always worried it wouldn’t turn out good. We ended up just going for it after hearing about how good these chocolate chip tahini cookies are. They are some of our favorite cookies now and you’ll understand why once you make them! p.s. we like putting all of the treats we bake into the fridge.

The Archer by Taylor Swift:

Have you heard Taylor Swift’s new song, The Archer? I can’t stop listening to it on repeat – so so good!

Tie-Dye Matching Set:

There’s just something about tie-dye that I (Katie) love. So, when I saw this matching short and hoodie set from Lovestitch, I knew that I wanted them in my closet. I wish you could feel just how soft they are!

Adidas Stan Smith Sneakers:

I have been wearing these Adidas Stan Smith Sneakers (size down half a size) for years now. They are my favorite sneakers because they go with everything, are so comfortable, and easy to slip on. They’re finally back and I decided to get myself a new pair – it was about time!

Perfect Bar Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough:

Run don’t walk to Trader Joes to try out Perfect Bar’s chocolate chip cookie dough bar. It’s an exclusive flavor sold only at TJ’s and it’s my new favorite. It has hints of maple and is sprinkled with sea salt… so freaking good and the perfect healthy snack.
