It’s that time of year where the Holiday bucket lists are coming out. This year has been a crazy one for us, so we are really wanting to press pause and enjoy the Holidays. It can be so easy to get caught up in your mile-long to-do lists and to just let life take over. That’s why this month we’re going to #holidayyourway.
Embrace the perfectly imperfect moments and fill this month with traditions, friendships, baking, a day of doing nothing, anything to make the Holidays feel special. One way we’re keeping ourselves accountable for slower pace days this season is by making a Holiday bucket list.
Each year we go see Christmas lights, but we want to take it a step further and enjoy what our city has to offer. By creating a Holiday bucket list, we are able to plan our days out, make sure we get to everything we’re wanting to do, and of course, check it all off our list.
#holidayyourway
This holiday season Evereve is embracing #holidayyourway in stores, online, and through Trendsend by putting together fun and unexpected outfit pairings. You already know we are on board because of our love for mixing prints. When we were talking about what to put on our bucket list, we made sure Evereve was part of it. No matter how crazy life is, it’s so important to take time to treat yourself.
Throughout our Holiday festivities, we like to be comfy and casual. Whether that’s tossing on our favorite graphic tee with a sequin skirt or layering a turtleneck under a dress. Whatever your fashion needs this season you can count on Evereve to help you find a fresh and chic Holiday look. And thanks to them, our Holiday outfit dreams have come true.
Evereve makes dressing for the Holidays even more fun than it already is. Don’t stress over what to wear and style pieces that are going to make you feel most comfortable. Wake up, get dressed, and conquer the Holidays. Check out Evereve’s style guide to get outfit ideas and browse the site for pieces that catch your eye.
Holiday Bucket List
Go Ice Skating
The last time we went ice skating didn’t go down so well. It may have involved falling down and then automatically being done! But, this year we decided to give it one more try and we ended up really enjoying it. We didn’t even fall once! Even though we already went ice skating this year, we definitely want to make time to go again. You could even say we’re ice skating pros now, haha.
Go See a Christmas Show
Take a break from shopping, baking, parties, and go to a Christmas show with your friends/family. Think of it as a time to catch your breath and get even more into the Holiday spirit. Just search “Christmas show + your city” and you should be able to find all the upcoming Holiday shows in your area.
See Christmas Light Displays
Christmas light displays are a must-see. Whether you’re driving or walking through the lights it’s such a fun tradition to have. This is one that we always make sure we fit into our schedule!
Bake Our Favorite Treats
We love baking during the Holidays because that means we get to eat all of our favorite Holiday treats. Make a list of all the cookies/treats you are wanting to make, so you don’t forget. You could even bake treats to deliver to your friends, neighbors, or family members. The perfect surprise! Here are some of our favorite Holiday treats:
- Buckeye balls
- Chocolate crinkle cookies
- Sugar cookies with icing and sprinkles
Watch Christmas Movies
Every year we watch our favorite Christmas movies. Once again, this is a great time for you to relax and not worry about the stress that Holidays may bring. Let everyone pick out their favorite movies and have a marathon. Maybe even pop some popcorn and eat some freshly baked cookies. Some of our favorite Holiday movies:
- Elf
- Four Christmases
- The Family Stone
- Christmas Vacation
Donate To a Local Toy Drive/Volunteer Your Time
This time of year there are many that are struggling, so giving your time to volunteer or donate to a local toy drive is so important. Being surrounded by others, helping others out, and knowing that you were thought of brings a sense of joy and peace even through those tough times.
Decorate a gingerbread house
Plan a night with all your friends/family and have a contest to see who’s gingerbread house is the best. While that’s going on blast some Christmas music and maybe even sneak a few pieces of candy.
Drive around and look at Christmas lights in neighborhoods
There are a lot of houses that go all out with their outdoor Christmas decorations! Drive around nearby neighborhoods and find the best house. Try looking for an area where every house participates. In St. Louis there’s a street called Candy Cane Lane where each house is turned into a winter wonderland.
What’s on your Holiday bucket list? Don’t forget to stop by your local Evereve or shop online because well, you deserve it! Take a break from the hectic rush of the Holiday season and pamper yourself. We want you to #holidayourway!
