Both of us always have an ever-evolving list of what skincare products we want to try next. Please tell us we’re not the only ones who do that and you do the same thing. Or are we just skincare obsessed?
Either way, over the last year, we have been making the switch to clean beauty products. You may be wondering what exactly clean beauty means? Basically, products that don’t contain the use of any ingredients that are proven or suspected of causing harm.
From our ever so long list, there were a few products from Indie Lee on there. This skincare line is clean beauty, ethically sourced, grounded in nature, supported by science and inspired by life.
Indie Lee so kindly gifted us several of her skin care products to try out, so for the past month, we have been using them. Being skincare junkies, we’re here to share an honest review of everything we have been using.
Indie Lee Skin Care Review
Brightening Cleanser
Helps strengthen, firm and protect, leaving the skin hydrated, silky and luminous. Doubles as an exfoliating mask if left for 5 minutes before rinsing. Oh, and it smells amazing!
K’s Thoughts: I love good smelling things and this cleanser smells so darn good. To me, it has a slight strawberry smell. The gel formula goes on smoothly and leaves my face makeup free and my skin feeling throughly cleaned with no dryness or tightness.
L’s Thoughts: Leaves my skin feeling oh so smooth and oh so clean. It doesn’t strip the skin or leave it feeling dry, which is KEY. This face wash has done wonders for my acne-prone skin!
COQ-10 Toner
Hydrates and rebalances your skin’s pH level with Hyaluronic Acid and Aloe Vera based essence. Non-drying formula leaves skin primed and protected from pollution and environmental aggressors.
K’s Thoughts: I am a toner snob and was not so sure if I was going to be able to give up my old toner. But bye-bye old toner, COQ-10 is my new favorite. I love how refreshed my face feels after using it.
L’s Thoughts: Great for not leaving my skin feeling dry. I like to spray the toner onto a cotton round after I’ve washed my face. Doesn’t irritate the skin either!
I-Waken Eye Serum
Light textured daily eye serum to help dark circles and puffiness. Along with ingredients to help soothe and refresh the delicate eye area, hydrate, nourish and protect, while leaving skin with a more smooth and firm appearance.
K’s Thoughts: I am slightly crazy with my eye creams. I use a de-puffing cream, a serum, then an eye cream. Yep, crazy, but I’m 50 and the eyes show a lot of aging. I like how this serum makes my eyes feel. I am also wanting to see if they have an eye cream to switch out my current one.
L’s Thoughts: Really helps hydrate the under eyes. It’s a gel/liquid consistency, so a little goes a long way.
Squalane Facial Oil
Improve the appearance of texture and tone, skin elasticity with this readily absorbed, 100% pure, Olive derived Squalane. Non-pore clogging, this oil leaves the complexion soft, nourished and never greasy.
L’s Thoughts: Lightweight and hydrating, I picked this up for myself because reviews said it’s great for sensitive and acne prone skin. I tend to use this oil throughout the day if my skin is feeling more dry than usual or as a hydrating base before I put on makeup.
Stem Cell Serum
This active conditioning serum addresses skin firmness, texture and tone and is hard at work to promote the appearance of increased collagen. Refined ingredients help protect against pollution leaving skin feeling hydrated and supple. This is a great step before your moisturizer or on its own.
K’s Thoughts: The holy grail of serum’s. I use this morning and night after my C E Ferulic serum. They work amazingly together. I actually ran out and already placed an order for the larger size!
Daily Vitamin Infusion
This Ceramide-enriched daily facial oil will soothe and brighten complexion. This rich blend of oils helps rejuvenate skin while Vitamin C promotes a more even skin tone. L’s Thoughts: One of those products that I immediately fell in love with. I truly believe that it has helped my skins texture. Just purchased a second bottle!
