Our 2018 Fashion Trends Year In Review

We can’t even believe that in just a few days it will be 2019. Talk about CRAZY! 2018 was filled with ups and downs, personal growth and blog growth, trying a lot of new trends, taking breaks, exploring our city, great opportunities, and so much more. It definitely felt like one of our busiest years!

We thought it would be fun to flash back over our fashion posts from the year and share our favorite moments and best posts with you all.

Our 2018 Fashion Trends Year In Review

Mix Match Fashion

January we started off with sharing how to mix patterns in your outfits. It’s important for us to share tips + tricks on ways to step out of your comfort zone, but still feel comfortable in what you’re wearing. Mixing prints is definitely our go-to for that!

• By mixing prints, you’ll be amazed at just how many outfits you can create.

How To Style Polka Dots

We kicked off February with styling polka dots. We styled a polka dot top and a pair of polka dot pants as well as sharing tips on how to go about styling this print.

• Sharing tips on how we suggest to wear polka dots, what colors and prints to incorporate, and how to ease into this trend.

How To Style Glen Plaid Pants

Glen plaid/plaid, in general, has always been one of our favorite prints. There are so many ways to style glen plaid pants, so we shared several ideas on just that. We also touched base a bit more on our take of mixing prints.

Plaid Kick Flare Pants

A twist on plaid pants, the plaid and kick flare combo elevates your outfit. As you can see, my favorite way to style these pants is with a graphic tee and denim jacket. The best news, you can style those two clothing pieces with just about any pair of pants.

See Through Bags: The New IT Bag

At the beginning of March, we shared our new obsession with see-through bags, which quickly become the new IT bag of the season. It’s almost 2019 and this trend is still going strong.

Botanical Prints

Botanical print goes all the way back to the ’60s so you could say this print really doesn’t go out of style. Perfect for spring, classic, and there are so many different types of botanical prints to choose from.

• Floral print can easily be categorized into looking old/outdated, so we shared our tips on how to wear this print. You’ll quickly be on your way to looking chic as ever!

New Spring Trends

The new spring trends were so good this year… cargo/utility, pastels, checks and plaids, navy, and retro-inspired yellow. Did you rock any of these trends in spring 2018?
