Pitaya Bowl Obsessed

pitaya bowlsToday we’re sharing our love of Pitaya bowls with you babes and how to make them! They’re basically the same thing as an acai bowl, but just bright pink. And who doesn’t love something that bright pink of a color! By the way, the picture seriously doesn’t do it justice.

We’d never heard of Pitaya until visiting Banzai Bowls in California, but it turns out it’s just another name for dragon fruit haha. We wanted to recreate one of our favorite bowls for ya that we just can’t get over. The options are endless when it comes to making your own Pitaya bowl… but here’s the one we’re loving right now:

Ingredients:

  • Coconut milk
  • Pineapple juice
  • Pitaya (you can buy frozen packs at pitayaplus.com)
  • Strawberries
  • Mango

Toppings:

  • Granola
  • Strawberries
  • Pineapple chunks
  • Honey

Directions:

  1. Just combine all of the ingredients together in a blender
  2. Blend until good!
  3. Pour into a bowl and add the toppings
  4. Then enjoy! It’s that easy, and oh so good

Some tips and tricks:

  • When it comes to how much you add of everything it’s really up to you. We double the recipe since there is 2 of us!
  • Add granola and honey to the bottom of your bowl before pouring your blended ingredients and adding your toppings.. it seriously makes a difference! It’s our favorite part of the pitaya bowl
  • Have fun with your ingredients and toppings.. as we said the options are endless!
  • Some of our other favorite toppings to add are: coconut shavings, chia seeds, and bee pollen
  • Adding honey or agave makes it much sweeter
