Happy Friday, the weekend is much needed!! It’s been raining just about everyday here which is making us not want to do anything. If you missed our post from Wednesday, check it out HERE! We shared two outfits we styled, that we’re truly loving right now.
Time to talk about today’s blog post. Plaid kick flare pants! We both have been really into stepping more out of our comfort zone and picking up items we normally wouldn’t wear, including fun printed pants. Glen plaid, polka dots, and if you saw our insta story from a few days ago then some really cute spring pants that I seriously can not wait to wear.
The plaid and kick flare together truly elevate your outfit. I wasn’t even going to pick these pants up because one of the reviews said they were itchy, but I seriously loved them and decided to buy them anyways. I don’t know what that person was even talking about because these pants are so stretchy and so comfy!
They are the perfect high waisted pant with a flare leg. It’s not your typical wide leg pant, but a skinny pant with a small flare at the bottom.. which I adore! The pants run TTS – for reference I am wearing a small. I kind of feel like I’m going on a safari / picnic with my hat and pants. But hey, I love this look!
How To Style Plaid Flare Pants
Style with a graphic tee
You can never go wrong with a good graphic tee. We love pairing them with just about anything: printed pants, denim, under a jumpsuit, and skirts for that little bit of edge.
Pair with your favorite denim jacket
If you haven’t been able to tell by now, we kinda love our denim jackets! You can see the one I just picked up HERE, I love the longline look.
The denim jacket I’m wearing is the perfect length. I like more of a longer jacket look, so I was automatically sold, especially with the distressing. Denim jackets just tie any outfit together!
Add some accessories
We really aren’t huge accessory people over here, but I do have to say that they can really add that perfect touch to your look. I find myself picking up hats and adding some delicate necklaces / rings.
- add a statement belt
- hang some sunglasses on your shirt
- pick up a fun statement bag
- put on your fave hat: fiddler cap or panama hat
- tie a bandana around your neck
- if you’re wearing a denim jacket, add some fun pins
The last thing I want to end with is don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try something you wouldn’t consider yourself wearing! Put on a sweatshirt with some printed pants, pair some sneakers with your dress, add that pop of color you usually don’t wear, or pick up some white boots / shoes to add a retro look.
