Hey hey, Wednesday! Most times we can never think of anything clever to say to start off a blog post. The “hi’s” and “happy” get repetitive pretty fast! Maybe we should just get straight to the point and start talking all about the products we’re loving/trying/wanting right now. But if you do have any suggestions for how to start off a blog post we’re all ears!
Products We’re Loving
CaseApp Phone Cases:
Getting a new phone case is always the best feeling!! We both just got new iPhone cases from CaseApp, THIS paintbrush print and THIS various dots in pink print. You can create your own custom phone case or choose a premade design like we did. We’re not kidding when we say it took us a few days to decide and a lot of going back and forth because there are SO many good options! Alsoooo, you can get skins for your phone, iPad, laptop, etc. Use our code: OHDARLING20 for 20% off your order.
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion:
I’ve used Mario Badescu drying lotion for a couple years now but had stopped because I thought maybe it was drying my skin out to much. The person who does my facials told me to start using it at night and to just put it on the spots that need it the most, not every single breakout. Doing that hasn’t caused my skin to be dry or sensitive skin + it’s fast acting and effective that shrinks my blemishes overnight.
Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask:
I’ve been trying to get my skin under control for a while now. I have acne prone and VERY fair skin, but it’s just been more than crazy these last few months. My skin is far from being perfect, but I think I can finally say it’s getting better (let’s hope I didn’t just jinx that). I have been getting hydro facials every 2 weeks, changing my skincare routine to fewer and better products, anddd I’ve been using this light therapy acne mask. I think it’s really helped with fewer breakouts.
Let me know if you would like us to do a blog post on tips for clearing up your skin!? Just because it’s working for me doesn’t mean it’s going to work for you, but I have learned some really helpful tips that can be beneficial for anyone that I would LOVE to share!
Cocokind Organic Chia Facial Oil:
I picked this chia facial oil up when I ran out of my other face oil and I have quickly fallen in love with it. It makes my face feel so soft and moisturized. It’s made with only two ingredients: organic chia seed oil and organic chamomile flowers, which I love.
Love Beauty and Planet Blooming Color:
I picked up these Love Beauty and Planet at Target awhile ago and to say that I am in love with them would be an understatement. I got the Murumuru Butter & Rose for color treated hair. It smells just like roses and continues to smell good all day long. It also keeps my hair really clean. I have thin -fine hair and I need to wash my hair daily, but with this shampoo, I could actually skip a day!
Solid Scarf Pony:
We’ve been loving how versatile a simple silk scarf or bandana is. Tied on your handbag, around your neck, and a new favorite of ours: in your hair. We just picked up this silk skinny bandana from Madewell and are wanting to snag this solid scarf pony from Free People.
If you need some hair inspo for how to style your bandana scarf, check out our Hair & Beauty Pinterest board.
Products We’re Trying
Living Proof Perfect Hair Day In-Shower Styler:
We just picked up this Living Proof hair product from Sephora because we had seen it in, Instyle Magazine. You’re supposed to apply it all over your hair in the shower, lightly rinse, and be left with a beautiful, air-dried hairstyle.
The verdict: we’re still testing it out to see how we really feel about it! I ended up brushing my hair out while it was still air drying because it was leaving a crunchy feeling, which is definitely not a look either of us are going for. The next day I did feel like it was softer and shinier. It has a lot of good reviews, so we’re not giving up yet.
Products We’re Wanting
Cocokind Organic Ultra Chlorophyll Mask:
I have my eyes on this chlorophyll mask! Chlorophyll is rich in antioxidants that are key to the healthy and supple skin. When you apply this mask topically, chlorophyll purifies the skin, helps relieve breakouts, and brings out a natural glow! + there are only 4 ingredients in this mask.
YSL Mascara babydoll:
We heard about this YSL babydoll Mascara from a blogger friend of ours, Kimmie (@joyfullystyled). This mascara is supposed to make your eyelashes look full and fluffy with no flakes, clumps, or smudges.
What mascara do you SWEAR by?
Curling Iron & Hair Dryer:
I am looking for a good curling iron & hairdryer. I have heard great things about this ghd 1.25″ soft curl iron AND these two hair dryers: the ghd air professional performance hairdryer and the T3 cura luxe hair dryer.
Do you have any of these? What’s your FAVE curling iron and hairdryer that’s not very damaging to your hair?
A good concealer:
Another recommendation needed 🙂 I am looking for a good concealer that will cover my blemishes? I’m wanting good coverage, yet for it to look natural. LMK!
That’s it! A big thanks to caseapp.com for collaborating with us on this post. If there are any products we should be loving/wanting/trying, be sure to let us know because we would LOVE to hear. Send us all the recommendations.
