This year we are going beyond gift giving through the personalization of gift wrapping. When it comes to wrapping gifts we all want the prettiest presents under the tree. But to be honest, not all of us are amazing at wrapping as we’d like to be. Raising my hand at that one!
Gift giving is one of our favorite parts about the Holidays. We love being able to personalize gifts for the people in our lives to fit their personalities, wants, and needs! Wondering just how to do that? Then keep on reading to learn how to add your own special touch + the best gift wrapping ideas. Oh, and for all you non-professional gift wrappers, no need to fret because we’ve got you covered!
The first step to prepare for all the gift wrapping your about to do is getting in the festive mood through what you’re wearing! It’s all about being comfy while being creative. By the end, you may just be covered in tape, glitter, string, stickers, paper, who knows?
Both of our sweatshirts are part of the Holiday Collection from Propertee by Chris Loves Julia. They will leave you with all the warm fuzzies you can handle. The best part is there is just more than sweatshirts to choose from like tees and mugs. Yes, pleaseeeee!
There is no limit to how many times we can wear our NOG and MERRY EVERYTHING sweatshirts. They’re comfy, cozy, and put us in the festive mood no matter what we’re doing! You better believe we’re doing all of our gift wrappings in these babies. And if we get hot, we can change into their Pantone Holiday inspired tees. Use code SECRETSANTA to get 10% off your order.
The Best Gift Wrapping Ideas
It’s time to get down to business and start wrapping those presents. Get ready for the ideas to start flowing and the creativity in you to come out because we’re about to share the best gift wrapping ideas. Think easy, can be done in no time, and will be sure to impress everyone in the room.
Gift Wrap
Start by choosing your gift wrap. Look for wrapping paper that fits the person you’re gifting too. Do they have any hobbies or passions, a favorite color or design? You could even personalize your own wrapping paper with stamps.
Gift Tags
Cute hanging gift tags, pom poms, an ornament, a mini bottle brush tree, an initial… the options are endless. So think outside the box!
- Find or personalize an ornament to tie to the package. It not only looks pretty but can be used on their tree for years to come.
- TIP: Shop the dollar section at Target for fun trinkets to personalize your presents. Or head to Hobby Lobby and shop the scrapbooking section.
Stickers and Labels
Buy some plain labels, find Holiday theme printables online, and in just a few steps you have yourself a homemade sticker/label to place on top of your gifts. You can also take mini clothespins, attack a sticker on top, and clip to your package.
Step up your tape game with washi tape. It adds a little something extra to package because who needs boring old clear tape? The washi tape can also be used to hold your gift tags/labels in place or to spruce up your clothespins.
Stocking Stuffers
Instead of putting your stocking stuffers into a stocking, put a few on top of your wrapped presents. How cute would it be to add a pair of fuzzy socks, some lipgloss, their favorite box of candy, or even some scratcher lottery tickets?
Old Holiday Cards
Don’t know what to do with old Christmas cards or unused cards you have? Try cutting out part of the card whether it’s words or a picture. Punch a hole in it and use a pretty ribbon to attach to your package.
Forage Your Backyard
Cut some greenery, use a pine cone or buy some eucalyptus at the florists. Wrap the package in brown paper, use a simple twine string, and add a piece of nature. Whoever receives this pretty gift will think Joanna Gaines wrapped it up – hahaha.
No ribbon – No problem
Instead of using ribbon, use some tinsel garland, boxwood greenery, or even a scarf. Just be creative and have some fun!
That’s a WRAP! Have you personalized your gifts with any of the ideas we mentioned? Feel free to share your best gift wrapping ideas with us, we’d love to hear. Happy gifting!!
