Have you ever walked into a store and just started grabbing clothes and before you know it you have two dressing rooms filled to the brim? That’s exactly what happened to us when we walked into Kindred.
Kindred is a collective boutique that features the best local boutiques unique to each city they are in. We are honestly so pumped that Kindred just opened up in St. Louis at the West County mall. They are not only dedicated to bringing you the best, widest selection of fashion, accessories, and giftables but they are also committed to elevating your boutique shopping experience.
The Kindred Shops STL
Kindred originally started in Kansas City and they are now starting to expand all over. Lucky us, we got to be their second location. There are so many great things when it comes to St. Louis, but the one thing we lack in is on trend clothing. We personally have a harder time finding clothes in stores and end up doing most of our shopping online.
Truthfully, we didn’t know what to expect from Kindred besides that they are a collective boutique. We were excited but you should have seen us when we walked into their store for the first time. We felt like little kids on Christmas morning, which is a lot to say. From the interior design of Kindred to the setup, the dressing rooms, and all the clothes (duh), our jaws were basically on the floor.
Brooke & Sloane
Each month we’re going to be highlighting a boutique that you can find at Kindred. This month we’re talking ALL about Brooke & Sloane. The owners, Heidi and Rene, are dedicated to helping girls bring out their fun side with the latest fashion trends. Their mission is to help women find styles that fit their personality and make them feel beautiful.
Okay, their mission is spot on because when we were trying on all of their pieces and after we saw the pictures of how we ended up styling them, we kept thinking, man I look gooooood.
Leopard all day, every day.
We had to narrow down all of our picks and you better believe this baby made the cut. I wish you could feel the quality and comfiness of this jacket! Do you think it’s acceptable to wear 24/7? I’m going to be styling this leopard jacket soon with a cami + joggers, ahh!
Being a really casual girl, this look would be perfect for any Holiday party or New Year’s Eve. The cropped tinsel sweater is screaming the Holiday’s/let’s party and the leopard skirt adds some warmth to the outfit.
On the blog, you’ll see us talk a lot about styling tips we have. We LOVE that Brooke & Sloane believes in having fun with the latest fashion trends because we are all about that too. Mixing prints is one of our favorite ways to have fun because you are able to step out of your comfort zone and try looks you might not always gravitate towards.
What’s really unique about Kindred is the way they merchandise their products.
Unlike most collective boutiques, they put all of their products together, cohesively. That means that when you are looking through the clothing racks, you’ll find one boutique next to another. Kindred wants to make sure their customers have the best experience possible, which means shopping the store more fluidly while being encouraged to experience merchandise from every one of the vendors.
I always gravitate towards a great pair of plaid pants, add in a cute side stripe, and I am sold. Being a casual girl, I don’t always dress up but this soft microsuede crop top spoke to me. How perfect is this whole look for the holidays?
Knowing that Kindred is not just for one age group makes us so happy.
Since we are a mother + daughter duo sharing our every day casual life and style between two generations. The store is not going to stop one from coming in, which means you are able to support small business owners, all while bringing in friends and family who can enjoy the shopping experience too.
As you can tell by the many different looks on today’s post, we believe leopard is a neutral print. It goes with just about anything, including this fabulously soft dot sweater… it makes me want to cuddle up on the couch with some hot chocolate.
We find ourselves going to the mall just about every week, but a lot of times we see the same clothes with not many new arrivals. With Kindred, you are going to find variety. Fresh styles coming in every week, you are bound to find pieces that really speak to you… like this gold windbreaker! Talk about a disco party, right?!
Honestly, we are just SO excited about the opening of Kindred at the West County mall. It isn’t always easy to find clothes that call our name, but now we are in BIG trouble! If you’re ever in the St. Louis area, definitely drop by Kindred. Just make sure you have no time limit because you may just end up with two dressing rooms like we did š
