We usually don’t put up a post on Thursday, but we mentioned in our blog post from yesterday (you can see that HERE) that we were going to be doing a winter tag! We got tagged by The Babbling Blondes, who we truly adore, to answer 15 questions that are winter/holiday related! SO let’s just get right to it.
Actually, before we get right to it we’re going to be sharing a favorite winter look from both of us that is perfect for the holidays!

1| What is your favorite holiday tradition?
We wouldn’t say we exactly have a holiday tradition, but some of our favorite things we TRY to do each year is: bake cookies, watch our favorite Christmas movies, and go see Christmas lights!
2| What is your favorite go-to winter lippies?
We both really aren’t lipstick wearers!
Katie: My everyday lip care is Vaseline rosy lip, it adds just the right amount of soft pink tint to your lips! If I put any color on my lips, I will use a tinted lip gloss. I am seriously such a simpleton though, and I usually just have one color in my purse! My current lip gloss that I am using is Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer
Lydia: This girl does love her chapstick and hands down this Balm Dotcom is my favorite! It’s a skin salve so you can put it all over your body if you’d like
3| What is your favorite winter scent? (candles, perfume, etc.)
You already know by now that we LOVE candles! We just picked up the Capri Blue Iridescent Jar Candle in Fir And Firewood from Anthropologie and it smells ahhmazing, smells like a Christmas tree!!
Katie: My favorite winter perfume is Elizabeth & James Nirvana Bourbon. It has a warm spicy scent that I love during the cooler months
Lydia: As far as perfume goes, I just found this Pharmacia Eau De Parum in Vanilla Dore from Anthropologie and I am most definitely picking it up! I fell in love with the smell instantly
4| What is your go-to winter fashion trend?
Katie: My favorite winter trend this season is all the faux fur jackets! We just recently picked up this Bristol Faux Fur Jacket from Anthropologie and we can’t wait to style it
Lydia: This year it’s most definitely beanies!! I find myself throwing them on almost every day now. One of my all-time favorites is this Faux Fur Pom Pom Beanie Hat (comes in a ton of different colors)!
5| What is your all-time favorite holiday movie?
Katie: My favorite all-time Christmas movie is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. It just reminds me of Christmas in the past when it would be on major repeat. But a close second is Elf and Four Christmases!
Lydia: Either Elf or Four Christmases.. other than that I haven’t seen a ton of holiday movies!
6| What is your all-time favorite holiday tune?
Katie: My all time favorite Christmas song is, Do You Hear What I Hear. I can remember hearing it for the first time as a kid sung at church and I fell in love with it (my favorite version to date is Whitney Houston’s version)! A close second is the Waitresses Christmas Wrappings song
Lydia: I don’t have a favorite holiday tune, but I LOVE listening to holiday music! I recently found this All I Want For Christmas playlist on Spotify that I listen to several times each day.
7| Do you prefer to travel or stay home for the holidays?
Katie: Our entire family lives in St Louis so we never have to travel. We did go to Walt Disney World one year after Christmas but that was the one and only time we have traveled around the holidays
Lydia: Besides going to Disney World, I have never truly traveled for the holidays!! I think it would be something fun to do one year, but I definitely love being at home with all of our Christmas decorations and being surrounded by family
8| What is your favorite winter skincare must have?
Katie: My ride or die winter moisturizer is Fresh’s Black Tea Firming Overnight Mask, I have used it for years. It is so thick and rich and feels amazing on my face!
Lydia: Must have for sure is moisturizer.. it saves my skin during the winter time! I have quickly fallen in love with this Belief Moisturizer
9| What is your favorite winter hair care product?
Katie: I never use anything in my hair… I usually let my hair air dry then I will straighten it or curl it. I truly wish I had more skills because my hair is always so blah and always looks the same no matter what I do to it!
Lydia: I don’t use many products on my hair (I really need to start though) but I do love Morrocan oil. A little tip is to braid your hair after you put the Moroccan oil all over your hair (while your hair is still wet) and your hair will smell EVEN more amazing after!
10| What is your favorite winter activity?
Katie: I love the winter! I am a true homebody and I love when it gets darker earlier and I can cozy up in my jammies, under the blanket, and just read or watch tv
Lydia: I agree 1000% with what my mom said!
11| What is your favorite must-have winter beauty product?
Katie: Highlighter year round. Since I am not a person who goes out in the sun (well not anymore) I don’t have a natural glow, so I always need to add a little highlighter to my face!
Lydia: Some highlight! I love anything BECCA
12| Do you love or hate the snow?
Katie: LOVE! LOVE! LOVE THE SNOW!!!!!!
Lydia: I love snow!! It’s the best-watching snow fall and just being cozied up in your house
13| What is one item on your wish list this year?

14| What is your favorite holiday treat?
Cookies, cookies, cookies!! For both of us. We’re trying to make as many cookies as we can.. THESE are next on our list.
15| Do you finish your holiday shopping before December or are you a last minute shopper?
Definitely not before December, but we also don’t consider ourselves the last minute shopper. It really depends on each person we’re buying for!
